About the Directory

The Community Resource Directory is a gift to the community from St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Charities. The site was developed through a partnership with United Way of Texas Gulf Coast and The University of Texas School of Public Health to allow users to gain a better picture of community health, including resources and needs by specific location. The database includes more than 5,100 health and human service programs throughout a 13 county area in the Texas Gulf Coast.

More About the Site
St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities and The University of Texas School of Public Health have integrated the United Way Community Resource Directory into their Community Health Information System (CHIS). CHIS is an online, interactive Web site that creates a concise picture of the demographic, health and social data of the 57 counties of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. The information is presented through community health report cards, statistical data, special reports and community and child well-being indices.
